Photography
I have always photographed things that catch my eye, especially the more mundane or overlooked those things might be. I am particularly drawn to details of nature & sky and the view looking up, urban decay, and textural studies. I love pattern and this is a focus of most of my photography explorations, abstracting the world around me to see it anew.
I also enjoy digitally modifying my photographs to mirror back upon themselves in a sort of eerie and surreal consideration of beauty in symmetry. These Reflections works may also explore positive & negative and light & dark. Some are more radial explorations, offering a kind of kaleidoscopic view, while others still rely on our relationship with gravity and the horizon.
